Independence Day and Assumption of our Lady | 15-08-2022
Our seminary celebrated the feast of the Assumption of our Lady and the 75th Independence Day of the Nation on 15th August 2022. The Holy Eucharistic celebration of the day was presided over by Mar Jose Porunnedam, Bishop of Mananthavady diocese. Following the Holy Mass, Mar Porunnedam hoisted the national flag and also inaugurated the official meeting conducted in connection with Independence Day. He highlighted the need for the revival of the Church in the modern era influenced by the unimaginable growth of social media and electronic gadgets. Rev. Fr. Thomas Vattamala and Brother Tony Padinjarekutt also addressed the gathering.
