NAVATHI MEMORIAL NATIONAL SEMINAR

A national seminar was held in Mangalapuzha seminary in connection with the closing of the Navathi celebrations and the thirtieth anniversary of the publication of the Apostolic Exhortation, ‘Pastores Dabo Vobis’. The seminar titled, “Pastores Dabo Vobis: A Re-interpretation in the Contemporary Context,” commenced at 9: 00 am in John Joseph OCD Hall. Mangalapuzha seminary assembled scholars from different disciplines to reflect on the role of priestly formation in the present scenario. His Excellency Mar Raphael Thattil (Bishop of Shamshabad), Rev. Dr Jose Koodapuzha (Professor, Good Shepherd Major Seminary, Kunnoth), Dr Mary Regina (Professor, Kerala Agriculture University) and Rev. Dr Jacob Parappilly MSFS (Professor, Tejas Vidhya Peetah, Bangalore) presented their papers on various topics. The time for interaction with the scholars was fruitfully utilized by the audience consisting of about three hundred and fifty participants.
