The Mangalapuzha Seminary Literary Association, Forums and Apostolates for the academic
year 2025 were officially inaugurated on June 30 in connection with the feast of St. Peter and
St. Paul. The event had the esteemed presence of the well known journalist and creative
writer, Mr. Ram Mohan Paliyath.
The seminary had a long-standing commitment to nurture the literary and artistic talents
among seminarians. In his inaugural address the Rector, Very Rev. Fr Stanley Pulprayil
emphasized the significance of integrating literary and artistic expressions in the mission of
evangelization. Bro. Sibin Kandachalil delivered a thought-provoking message on the rise of
literary movements during the Renaissance, highlighting how writers and artists played a
vital role in challenging societal norms and shaping culture.
In a captivating session, Mr. Ram Mohan Paliyath shed light on the transformative role of
Christian missionaries in the fields of art, education, and family life. He emphasized the
manner in which various artforms convey their views of society and spoke about the social
impact of art and its relevance in contemporary pastoral ministry. The event also featured a
musical performance by Bro. Uppukunnel Bibin, whose melodious song added a soulful
touch to the program.
The inauguration marked a promising start to a year filled with the literary and artistic
dimensions of priestly formation.
