Visit of the Superior General of OCD Fathers | 13-02-2019
The Mangalapuzha seminary was blessed with the visit of V. Rev. Fr. Saverio (Antonio Gennaro) Cannistrà of the Sacred Heart, Superior General of OCD Fathers, on 13th February 2019. Mangalapuzha is indebted to OCD Fathers for the seminary and the history of the seminary cannot be written without describing their contributions and selfless efforts. This makes the visit more meaningful and valuable. The Superior General had a small meeting with the staff in the seminary. Since the deceased former professors in the seminary belonging to the OCD congregation including Venerable Fr. Zacharias and Fr. Aurelian were buried in the seminary cemetery chapel he made a visit there and offered prayers. The remaining of Venerable Fr. Zacharias and Fr. Aurelian were later transferred to Immaculate Conception Church Manjummel.
